CSCS – Construction Skills Certification Scheme

CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to improve quality and reduce accidents. CSCS cards are increasingly demanded as proof of occupational competence by contractors, public and private clients and others. CSCS has become the industry standard competency card scheme for construction. Most major trade associations, professional institutions, clients and contractors support the Scheme because it provides a simple way for construction workers, supervisors and managers to prove their competence in a consistent manner.

Also offers a 2 year Insurance Backed Guarantees. As an accredited TrustMark scheme member, we are required to provide consumers with the option of a warranty for works in excess of £250. The cost of the policy is dependant on the works.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

Each month thousands of contractors and consultants (suppliers) apply for work with public and private sector organisations (buyers). To win work, they must meet the buyer’s health and safety standards.

CHAS assesses applicants:

  1. Health and safety policy statement;
  2. Their organisation for health and safety;
  3. Their specific health and safety arrangements to a standard acceptable to our buyers and to others.

North Wales Procurement Partnership Contractor

The NWPP framework agreement is a formal select list of building trade operatives which will allow local authorities and other public sector organisations to commission (call off) building operatives to undertake reactive repair and maintenance work to council properties including schools and leisure centres when the need arises.
